"Fall" In Love with Autumn Goodies at Cafe Milo

At 4800 Mortenson Road Suite 101 and conveniently located in our West Towne community in Ames, we're taking you inside Cafe Milo as a featured local Hot Spot.  Friendly baristas, tasty eats, coffee treats, local art, plus a cool and cozy atmosphere... this coffee house has it all.

Autumn is a "hoot" over at Cafe Milo in Ames.  It's the season for pumpkin spice, juicy apples, and comfort food favorites like oatmeal.  The cozy coffee house now carries all natural Umpqua Oats in cups perfect for taking on-the-go or sitting down to stay a while.

Manager Alana Olson serves up lunch with a smile.  A big bowl of hearty chili topped with shredded cheddar warms up a chilly afternoon.  A seasonal special, The Apple Orchard sandwich is a mouthwatering combination of mesquite smoked turkey, smoked gouda, crisp apple slices, spinach, and apple butter on whole grain ciabatta bread.

Need your pumpkin spice latte fix?  Barista Isaac whips up these treats with winning latte art like this foamy, grinning Jack-O-Lantern.  Besides art of the latte sort, Milo also exhibits local artists' works.  Currently pottery created by Brant Weiland is on display throughout the cafe. Interested in purchasing a piece for your apartment decor?  Contact Brant via email at throwingtyrant@me.com.  Want to learn how to make pottery from this skilled artist?  Sign up for pottery lessons taught by Brant at the Octagon Center for the Arts.

Whether you're settling in for a study session or just seeking a relaxing atmosphere, Cafe Milo offers a range of seating options sure to suit your needs.  Plug in and log on at the laptop-friendly counter to buckle down on homework.  Grab a seat next to the window for a lunch date with friends.  Or settle into a velvet settee for some cozy fireside reading.

Did we whet your appetite?  Give into your cravings, give Cafe Milo a "like" on Facebook, and head over there now!
