ALL SUMMER:
Des Moines Art Center (DSM)
As a reviewer states, "beautiful and free!" What could be better?

The Salisbury House (DSM)
Guided tours on Tuesday - Saturday 11:00 am & 1:30 pm and Sunday at 1:30 pm. Learn more about the house here.

Blank Park Zoo (DSM)
We're going to the zoo!!! Spend a day hanging out with some animal friends.

Fenelon Place Elevator Company (DBQ)
Steep, beautiful, and a little quirky spot to hang out for a little. Check the link above for season rates and the history of this elevator.

Dubuque River Rides (DBQ)
For a special occasion or just for fun. Check the website above for more information and booking!

Brucemore (CR)

Indian Creek Nature Center (CR)
Great for exploring trails or learning from exhibits. Free!!

Auto Races with the Iowa State Fair
For the car junkies! May 23rd, starts 6:30 pm.

JUNE:
World Pork Expo

Dressed to Kill tour - Cher (DSM)
The ever-wonderful Cher is coming to Iowa! June 9th.

JULY:Cedar Valley Jaycees Annual Fireworks (WLOO)
July 5th at the National Cattle Congress Grounds. (Free)

Iowa Barnstormers VS San Jose Sabercats (DSM)
Saturday, July 26th.

RAGBRAI
July 20-26th. Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa! Try it for a day or two days or maybe even the whole week.

AUGUST:
Iowa State Fair
From August 7-17th, you can take delight in visiting the Iowa State Fair. As their motto states, "Nothing Compares," nothing really does compare to the huge draw that this fair holds. Concerts, car races, animal exhibits, camping, art, and THE BUTTER COW are all included in this experience, plus so much more. Buy tickets online from their website above.
