Color Wheel: Mauve
The image above highlights when I was first introduced to the color "mauve" -The Hey Arnold! episode, Grand Prix, which debuted in 1998. Wow, I feel old. Mauve is basically a name for a light, pastel purple color. Fun Fact! William Perkin accidentally discovered the first synthetic organic chemical dye, mauveine, back in 1856. Originally, it was a more brighter purple color, however, over time it seems to have evolve to categorize a light to pastel hue of violet. Personally, I have trouble figuring out whether some of the colors below are really just a muted, dark pink tone. Am I color blind? Oh well, it's still a neat color!
